CAYOTE LiPo Safe Bag – Black (18 x 7 x 7cm)

This Cayote LiPo Safebag is made of a flame-retardant material to prevent a large fire in the event of a LiPo fire.

It is generally recommended to charge LiPo batteries in such a safebag without exception.
If something goes wrong when charging a LiPo battery, the result is not an explosion but a flash fire.

To contain the flame and minimize damage to the surrounding area, it is essential to charge in such a bag.

At the same time, the bag can of course also be used for transportation / storage.
The bag has dimensions of approx. 180x70x70mm and fits 2-3 HardCase 2S LiPo batteries.

IMPORTANT: When charging, please only use ONE LiPo per case!

Sensible use of a LiPo safebag when charging

1. Fire protection and damage limitation
   The main purpose of a LiPo safebag is to prevent the spread of fire or hot gases in the event of a battery defect or thermal runaway. The bag is made of fireproof material (usually glass fiber fabric with a heat-resistant coating) and can therefore largely contain flames and heat. This prevents any fire from spreading to surrounding objects or surfaces.
2. Safety in the event of charging errors
   Charging errors – for example due to incorrect charging currents, damaged cells or inferior chargers – are among the most common causes of LiPo fires. Charging the battery in a safebag significantly reduces the risk of an uncontrolled fire. Although the Safebag cannot repair a defective battery or prevent overcharging, it does provide an important physical barrier against possible consequences.
3. Easy handling without much effort
   Using a LiPo safebag is uncomplicated. The battery is simply placed in the opened bag, the cables are fed through a designated opening and the bag is securely closed with the Velcro or zipper. The battery can then be connected and charged. This simple procedure increases safety considerably – with minimal effort.
4. Recommended by manufacturers and associations
   Many manufacturers and model making organizations recommend or even require the use of a LiPo safebag when charging. In some model aircraft clubs and competitions, their use is mandatory. This underlines the importance of this safety measure.
5. Promoting safety awareness
   The regular use of a safebag helps to develop safety-conscious behavior when handling LiPo batteries. It is a reminder that caution is required despite all performance.
